The Most ‘Gram-able Shoe Store

Have you ever wondered where your favorite socialites and insta-stars get their drool worthy footwear? One store comes to mind, Lola Shoetique. This family-owned store in the heart of LA is slowly creating a massive online following with 1 million followers on Instagram and thousands of likes on every shoe selfie.

Their company aim is to:

provide exceptional customer service all while giving women a fabulous way to express themselves with their soles, giving her confidence from work, to weekend, to her everyday lifestyle

So I decided to buy four different pairs of these famous shoes to see if they were really worth all that hype. The package arrived in around 2 weeks, which is pretty standard with online boutiques and the order was packaged perfectly. Each shoe was individually wrapped with plenty of tissue paper and protective cardboard to ensure that your shoes kept their shape, as well as a hand written note and social media information includedpackagepackage-insidecards-inside-box

Now let’s get onto the goods…The very first pair purchased were the Fashion Crowd – Black flats in a US size 9. The shoes have a faux suede feel, sport a pointed toe, side cutouts and tassel-ended laces. The shoes offer the perfect mix of style and comfort while being a budget friendly price of $19.99 USD. While these may not be as cheap as the Ruby Shoes clearance shelf, the shoes are amazing quality for the price…but if you’re not used to pointed toed shoes definitely wear these in first as the point can cut off circulation a bit on the first few wears. All in all, I love these shoes to add a bit of an edge to a casual outfit.

The next pair purchased were probably my favourites, the Struck By Chic – Taupe Ankle Boots which instantly give any casual look a Kylie Jenner feel. The fabric is soft to the touch with a loose fitting ankle and tie at the back to fit all ankle shapes. While the pictures make the colour look a little warmer, the boots are a true cool taupe colour which partners well with most outfit choices. I purchased a size 10 due to my cankles that have been passed down for generations, however the ankles are loose fitting for the first time in my life so the tie definitely helps them fit more snugly. Although the shoes are a little pricer, at $29.99 USD, the quality of these boots definitely gives some higher end choices a run for their money.

Of course there had to be at least one fail in the haul, these were the In Your Dreams flats with little pom-pom ties for $22.99 USD. This particular fail was entirely my fault, I got them in a size 10 as I was worried they would be too small and wanted to play around with the sizing on the website. These are definitely a size too big, a size 9 would have worked definitely so if you’re worried about sizing on these, go down. The faux suede feel is the same as the Fashion Crowds and the poms are soft and fluffy but unfortunately these will have to be donated to someone with bigger feet.

The final pair of shoes I bought were the Get Your Kicks sneakers in a brown/olive colour, the particular colour I purchased is no longer available on the website but there are currently a dusty rose and grey colour at the moment. They have the same faux suede feel as the other shoes with a rubbery white toe and crisp white laces. The odd thing is, I purchased these in a US 10 and they fit perfectly, so the shoes obviously run smaller than the above pair. These are super comfortable and the texture adds an edgy touch to normally boring sneakers.

Overall, I’m so impressed with this store and understand the online hype. The shoes are pretty affordable compared to some of our stores here in Aus and the quality is on par. I rate this store a 4/5 in terms of affordability, quality and individuality. Let us know in the comments what your favourite online boutiques are.
